Stacie F. Hitt, RN, PhD

Originally from Wisconsin, Dr. Hitt earned her B.S. and M.S. degrees in nursing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her PhD is from the University of Pittsburgh. She has held a number of faculty and academic leadership roles, and has also managed global clinical research projects for the biotechnology industry.
Dr. Hitt’s areas of practice are pediatric nursing and community health. Her research on neuroendocrine and cognitive manifestations of stress in children has been presented internationally and published in the Archives of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine and Drugs: Education, Prevention, and Policy. In her current role, Dr. Hitt has responsibility for Leighton School of Nursing graduate programs.
