Joel Thomas earned his Master of Arts in English and Graduate Certificate in Advanced Writing (Nonfiction) from the University of Nebraska Omaha. During his time at Ancilla College (of Marian University), he has taught composition, literature, journalism, technical writing, creative writing, and first year seminar courses. Thomas served as Humanities division chair from 2013-2021 as well as overseeing academic assessment from 2016-2021. Joel’s community involvement has included work with animal rescues, foster care, arts advocacy, and religious education.
