Cynthia Cawthon has held numerous positions in higher education over the past thirty-five years. She has served Ancilla College (now Ancilla College of Marian University) for twenty-three years as an Instructor of English. Her professional interests focus on developmental education, particularly the areas of developmental reading and writing. Cawthon’s passion is to encourage her first-year students to develop confidence in communicating their views and become lifelong learners.

Cawthon has been married to her husband, Jim, for forty years and enjoys travel adventures as well as visiting her three adult children.
