Get Involved with Marian Football Games

by Jason LaPaglia | Sep 24, 2019

Will you be heading to your first Marian Knights football game this fall?  Here are some things we think you should know to be prepared and make the most of your visit to St. Vincent Health Field.

Tickets for Knights football games can be purchased online or at the gate for $10. Marian students and children under 5 get in for free. There are also discounts for senior citizens and military personnel with your ID. When you arrive on campus, you’ll be able to park for $5 either in our 30th Street parking lot or on campus near the Paul J. Norman Center. While you’re on campus, the bookstore will be open as well as our Dining Commons if you need to grab some Marian apparel and a meal before the game.

Additionally, here’s a few tips from members of the Marian community:

“Get involved in the activities before and after the games such as tailgating or fireworks.. The activities make game day that much better and it’s also a great way to get more familiar with campus and even meet other Marian families and fans.”

“As we all know, weather can be a bit unpredictable, so I suggest packing “extras.” Sweatshirts, gloves, hats, umbrella’s, etc. The bookstore is also open on game days in the case you’re like me and forget items.”

“Take a picture with Knightro! He loves taking pictures and it can make for a fantastic memory.”

“Take the opportunity to explore campus while you’re here! The fall is the best time of the year to take a stroll around campus and have your student show you some of their favorite spots on campus. If you haven’t yet, I also highly recommend a visit to the Nina Mason Pulliam EcoLab.”

“Tailgate! Getting to a game early can be a great way to learn about and get to know the Marian community. Catch up with old friends, make new ones, explore the campus, hang out. Make a day out of the experience rather than just coming for the game and leaving.”

The remaining home games are September 28 (Family Weekend), October 5, October 19, and October 26 (Homecoming). More information and schedules for all of our athletic teams can be found at muknights.com. We look forward to seeing you on campus for a game this fall!
